5 years 3 months ago - 5 years 2 months ago #309937 by hbargy
Hello,

for a few days I'm trying to solve two problems with GroupJive, Whithout success.

1 st :

in one category of group, I choose to leave only two choices of possible types (open, invite). But in the frontend, at the time of the creation of a group of this category, the three options (open, proposal, invite) are proposed instead of two. :(

2 nd :

in a group, when the creator chooses to disable some options, for example, files, photos, videos, events and forums. Even so, all the tabs will appear in the group. :(

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong ! Please help me...

CB Moderators are exempt from this limitation. Be sure to test with a regular registered user. If regular registered user is still seeing them then be sure moderator view access level in CB > Configuration > Moderation is set correctly.

in a group, when the creator chooses to disable some options, for example, files, photos, videos, events and forums. Even so, all the tabs will appear in the group.

Please read the parameter descriptions. Group owners, administrators, and of course CB Moderators are exempt from that. They can still use those features, but the other group members can not.

Yes regular registered user is still seeing them. :(

In configuration, Moderation was set on "Accès spécial", for testing I change it in "Super utilisateur". But that doesn't change anything, registered user still seeing all options...

Regular members will still see the tabs if they contain content. Those parameters just limit who can use those tabs. Regular members shouldn't be able to create new content in those tabs if the parameters are set to disabled. I've confirmed this works fine on our demo site below.

demo.cbdemosites.com/

Simply login as Moderator. Edit a group to disable its integration tabs. Then login as "Queen C." (click the More button) join the edited group.

Thank you Kyle for your answer.

But I already understood for the tabs, I agree.

However I still have problems with the other question :

hbargy : in one category of group, I choose to leave only two choices of possible types (open, invite). But in the frontend, at the time of the creation of a group of this category, the three options (open, proposal, invite) are proposed instead of two.

hbargy :

In configuration, Moderation was set on "Accès spécial", for testing I change it in "Super utilisateur". But that doesn't change anything, registered user still seeing all options...

Are you sure you're creating a new group in that specific category? If you are using the generic new group button (e.g. on all groups, all categories pages, or from profile tab) it will always show all 3 types, but if they try to create a type in a category that doesn't allow it it will error. If you're using the new group button after navigating to the category it will adjust that parameter to only show what is available. I've confirmed this is working fine below.
