[SOLVED] Fields Validation in User Management

[SOLVED] Fields Validation in User Management was created by carin
I set "Fields Validation in User Management" to NO but still I cant save a user with a username "rudi.muller" in the back end. That raises two questions:

1. Why is the validation still happening?
2. What is wrong with username "rudi.muller"? I need to have those usernames since they com from the Joomla user management.

We don't apply any validation rules to username by default. We just let Joomlas username validation apply. Joomla has no issues with allowing periods in usernames and appears to work perfectly fine in my tests. Did you add a custom validation rule to the field within CB > Field Management? Maybe applied a custom validation rule using CB Code Field or CB Query Field? Is attempting to save the user actually throwing a validation error? If so what is the validation error.
