Hi
I wonder if there is any way to link from a gallery image or video, externally. I am trying to use the gallery tab/plugin to show courses that belong to a user, and would like to include external links from there. Each course could be a number of images/videos (linked not uploaded) in a folder, or just even a single image. Or is there a better way to do this?

There's no share functionality yet to better allow for externally sharing media. It is possible though for example by right clicking the image and copying the URL then sharing that since for profile galleries it can safely rebuild the gallery to perform access checks from URLs.
Once share functionality is implemented there will be a button for it where the exif and download buttons are in the bottom right of the modal window, but that won't be until how galleries are created has been rewritten since it's difficult to rebuild the gallery from just a media id.
