Is it possible to conditionally validate the email field. ie, if a user is in a particular user group, prevent him from editing his email address to match certain domains.

CB Code Field provides Code Validation, which lets you validate a field with your own custom PHP. That's likely your best option for conditioned validation like that, but you will have to supply all the PHP for it.
