[SOLVED] 500 Internal Server Error after CB 1.9 install on Joomla 2.5.9

Installed CB 1.9 using extension manager on Joomla 2.5.9 site. Now, surfing to there gives me 500 Internal Server Error right away. Probably should have downloaded a newer CB, but how do I get going again? I hope not to reinstall Joomla to get back to where I have administrator again.

Added line "php_value upload_max_filesize 10m" to .htaccess file, no apparent effect.

Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration then try again as this will expose any errors. If still not working review server error log to see what happened.

Well, the problem was not in the CB install, but in adding "php_value upload_max_filesize 10m" to my .htaccess file. Not sure what was wrong with my edit, but removing it fixed my problem, and it turns out my hosting service has a 64MB default value for that variable, anyway.
