Substitution Placement??? was created by zingerdigital
If reference to the following excerpt from the "Using Substitutions throughout CB" tutorial......

Tab - display a CB rendered tab
[cb:usertab tab="TAB_ID" user="REPLACEMENT" /]

[cb:usertab tab="17" user="#displayedOrMe" /] will display CBs Menu tab for example.

Position- display a CB rendered tab position and all its tabs
[cb:userposition position="POSITION" /]

[cb:userposition position="cb_tabmain" /] will display CB tabs in the Main position for example.

If I wanted to hide a POSITION. Where would I put the line "[cb:userposition position="cb_tabmain" /]"

If I wanted to hide a tab. Where would I put the line "[cb:usertab tab="17" user="#displayedOrMe" /]"

Thanks,
Robert

Hide a position? Hide a tab? Don't understand the question. Substitutions show, they don't hide. When you substitute in a tab it'll render that tab where the substitution is at. You can enable/display tabs themselves within CB > Tab Management. I recommend reviewing the CB documentation available for download within the Advanced downloads section for further usage information on CB basics and core usage.

How would I use this substitution

[cb:userposition position="cb_tabmain" /]

Where would I enter it to display a CB rendered tab position and all its tabs?

Also

Where am I able to add this substition to display a tab?

[cb:usertab tab="17" user="#displayedOrMe" /]

I just need to know where to put these substitutions

Anywhere that supports substitutions. So for example a delimiter field.

Where am I able to add this substition to display a tab?

Same as above. I suggest reading your documentation, which you can download from the Advanced downloads section. It'll walk you through the basics of CB. You can also review our various tutorials below.
