Registration issues

Registration issues was created by Bob_Sprague
After upgrading 2.0.0, I found two issues:

-- While my registration link (www.yourarlington.com/main-menu/register) is set to CB public, the public cannot reach it. See attached.

-- After a potential user registered last night, quite a few of my current users got the email notice that only I should get. To fix, I tried to follow the advice at www.joomlapolis.com/documentation/community-builder/getting-started/18455-turning-off-joomla-registrations. I set registration to:

Yes, Independent of CMS's allow registration
if you want to allow frontend registration through Community Builder (but you have already disabled them through Joomla)

But I am not sure what the parenthetical means. How do I disable "through Joomla"?

Trying to understand. Thanks for your help.

Edit your menu item and ensure it's set to the correct Type. Ensure you're allowing registrations through CB it self within CB > Configuration > Registration. It should typically be set to be independent from Joomla.

Edit your users and ensure they're not set to receive moderator emails.

I'm likely dense, but I can't grasp this. What specifically would I do to set registration independently of Joomla?

You're other advice was spot-on -- and my error.

Please look at all articles here:

There is a big reference to this page right after you installed CB 2.0 ... but I guess it wasn't big enough ;-)
