Not so happy to see our module called ugly. Maybe a bit more feedback regarding this could be provided so we can improve this in the future. Our login module is now nearly 1:1 designed to match Joomlas and has layout support to be restyled.
Regarding your issue though modules display entirely based off Itemid. You either have the module set to display on all pages or the Itemid in your redirect URL has the login module assigned to it. This is standard Joomla module usage; consult Joomla documentation for further usage information.

Edit your login module and set your login redirect to index.php and you'll always be sent to homepage on successful login. First login redirect only works if the first visit date is 0000-00-00 00:00:00 (never logged in). Once it's set the first login redirect will never work again. Using the login redirect parameter of your CB login module ensures all logins will go to the homepage.

the fact is that I don't want always to be redirected to home page. Only at first login. If you said that on first login it should be redirected to the URL that was configured in the first login redirect option, so it is a bug in community builder, isn't it?
Navigate to the _users database table, review a users lastvisitDate column, if it's set to 0000-00-00 00:00:00 then the first login redirect should take affect. This seams to be working fine in my tests. You can reset your users lastvisitDate back to that value and login to test (be sure to logout before doing this as it'll set lastbisitDate on logout as well). For example my first login redirect is the following.
If you're linking to users profile on first login you need to use the below.
index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=userprofile
