I don’t now if this is the right place to post this question but I try.

I am developing a site for a world wide golf tournament. I will build a stand alone application because I don’t know how to build a component to handle this. I wonder what session Joomla is using for user authentication. Because I will use the same database as Joomla and CB. And I don’t want the users to have log in twice.
