I have the same problem, made the mods and it doesn't go away. But it also seems that the real problem is that it is not compatible with Joomla 1.5 and the author hasn't done anything to update Mamblog, which is a real pitty as I really need it to work with CB auto reward and Jawards. Most frustrating.

I managed to run Mamblog following your instructions. Now when I try to save the configuration I get:

FATAL ERROR: Config File Not writeable

I'm testing on windows and I have all the permissions on files. Thanks
