'Private Messages' link from Kunena does not link to UddeIM

8 years 8 months ago #268868 by alain0811
Hi,
I have noticed that the 'Private Messages' link on the Kunena forum does not forward to UddeIM, instead it forwards to the users profile (unlike the link on above on this forum).

Am I missing something in configuration or is this an error?

Any assistance to resolve is appreciated.

Cheers,
Alain

It is not a bug. Neither in uddeIM nor in Kunena.

Have you configured SEF correctly (enabled in Joomla configuration AND .htaccess file enabled)?

I presume you mean that SEF is ON in Joomla configuration?

Not sure about the .htaccess file enabled?
The .htaccess file is there. Is ther some permissions that should be enabled.

More than happy to provide copy of the existing file.

I have tried various changes to the configuration of both Kunena and UddeIM, clearing browser cache and using different browsers and various operating systems to see if there is any place where it does work. Result is that the message link still does not go to UddeIM but to the User profile.

The .htaccess file settings are as bleow
Should there be anything added or revoked or enabled?

This was a clean install of Joomla 3, CB 2, Kunena 4 and UddeIM (inc UddeIM Professional plugins)

Maybe you should ask in the Kunena forum how to modify the Kunena code so the link points to the correct location.

Thanks Slabbi,

Kunena forum have resolved the issue.
UddeIM, Kunena and CB are all working together now.

Alain
