Settings not saved in the backend

Settings not saved in the backend was created by abasel
I go and make changes but when I save them they are not kept (even though the message says they were saved).

I am trying to enable the mail but it stays as 'Email stop' enabled.

The uddeIM folder or the configuration file might be not writeable.
Please check the FAQ document that explains possible problems with Joomla ftp mode.

Hi, no it is writable. What is strange is that it sometimes updates and other times not. In the end I just edited the config file directly.

I have the same problem, all email options are set to always notify people of new PM,s
but there is still this 'Email stop' enabled message in red, meaning that it doesnt work :-)

which FAQ do I need to look at or which config do I need to change ?

Any pointers ?

Thanks

Please check the README folder in the uddeIM archive.

On a few systems the configuration cannot be written when Joomla SEF is not configured correctly (check SEF urls and .htaccess file -> there should be no "index.php" in the url when a page is requested).
