Hi!

1.
I have the exact same problem and hope you can help me.
I tried adding the code to template.css and change to other templates, but no effect.

2.
Nothing shows up in the invoice.

I have solved my issue.
In Configuration - user profile I changed:
"Use new div or old table based view" from Use Divs to Use Tables.

I do not know why the divs messed up though.
