How to speed optimize cb connect or CB Facebook Connect was created by Axus
There's a substantial slowdown of the site when activating CB Connect or CB Facebook Connect for example.

According to Google's PageSpeed our test site was scoring a good 95 but when one of the mentioned plug-ins was activated the speed slumped to disappointing 87 ...

The question is, is it possible to reduce the overhead with the plug-ins and how would this be achieved?

No, the slow down is coming from the APIs loaded in from the social sites. There is no improving this as it's performance on their end.
