Having issues with CB Auto Actions

Hello,

We had an issue last year where we wanted a field pre-populated when someone "registers" (not "renews") and you gave us the following solution:

Can't without using CB Auto Actions and conditioning more specifically. For CBSubs Fields it's checking for the subscription to become active by any means. For CB Auto Actions usage you'd use the below with a Field action.

Plan Active
Global
Triggers: onCPayUserStateChange
User: Automatic
Access: Everybody
Conditions
1: [var3] Equal To PLAN_ID_HERE
2: [var2] Equal To A
3: [var7] Equal To N

var7 for that trigger is $reason, which can have the following values.

N = new subscription
R = renewal
U = update

So the conditions would be making sure the supplied plan id is active and that it's a new subscription. This should fit your needs.

Everything was working great but I double checked all of them recently and I noticed there were 3 members that fit the auto action criteria but never had the field pre-populate. It's very strange that it only happened to 3 people (out of hundreds). We can't figure out why. Wondering if you had any suggestions for looking into this?

Thanks!

Were those 3 recent subscribers? If not it could've been a bug at the time they subscribed that has since been fixed if recent subscribers are working fine. Is there anything in common with those 3? Same payment gateway and everything? Anything different between those 3 and users that worked?

Strange, I'm not sure what to make of it unless a fatal error occurred before the action fired. Any fatal errors in your server error log or CBSubs History Log around the time User 2 subscribed?

There is nothing for those dates or people.

Not sure the CBSubs History Log would note it anyways because it seems to only track payments and not applications.

If those users upgraded to the plan from their subscription tab instead of during registration that might explain it. You may need to change the following condition.

FROM:
3: [var7] Equal To N

TO:
3: [var7] Is REGEXP /N|U/

That should allow it to match new subscriptions and upgrade subscriptions. Another option is to match every state except renewal as follows.

3: [var7] Not Equal To R
