CB Subs and PayPal how to auto switch membership.

Hello,
I'm using CB Subs with PayPal payment gateway. I have some trouble with it, when and user complete the payment, the website doesn't switch automatically the user's membership. Maybe I miss some settings in PayPal, but apparently I've set up all in the payment gateway.
Have you any tips to give me, or, there is an exhaustive guide to set up the PayPal system?

Sounds like you don't have PayPal account and/or the gateway configured correctly. When a payment is complete they should be returned to the site and if an IPN hasn't arrived their PDT return should pay it. Please review the CBSubs manual carefully in addition to the instructions within the gateway it self. Check within CBSubs > Notifications after each test to ensure a PDT and IPN arrived for your payment.

Hello again, I have to bring forward this topic.
I have done since my last post a lot of tests, but I've still problem with paypal IPN; when an user makes a payment, I have to set it as confirmed manually, after I've verified on PayPal the money on the account.
I've taken a look on CB Subs notifications, and in the end after COMMUNICATION ERROR I have found the error below:

$error='Error: cURL could not retrieve the document, error 28.';
$status='0';
$transaction_info='';

I'm not able to understand in what I'm wrong, I have configured PayPal gateway in CB Subs, I don't know really what to do more.

The API call to PayPal timed out. Error code 28 is "Operation timeout. The specified time-out period was reached according to the conditions.". Do you have any sort of firewall our outbound security in place that could be blocking outbound HTTPS requests?

No firewall installed. Is a basic Joomla installation with CB, we have SSL DV certificated installed, so the website works under https protocol as well.
For example, in homepage we use another extension to incorporate video from YouTube under https protocol, it runs. But of course is a different environment.

Please check with your host to ensure you can make output HTTPS cURL calls. I'm not sure what more to suggest as that error typically means something blocked the output request and resulted in a timeout or PayPal response timed out. Please also check server error logs around the time this happened to see if any fatal error was logged. Please also check CBSubs > History Log as it may have caught the error and can provide further details.
