it is very very nice, that we can just add "#cdbtabpancexx" to the url of a user profile to directly go to the wanted tab.
But is it possible to add #nameofthetab instead of #cdbtabpancexx? We tried to insert just the name of the tab from the frontend, but this didn't work. Anything we can do?
Thank you.
Regards

Add &tab=TAB_NAME to the URL. It also works with &tab=TAB_ID. Either will select the tab specified. This works in profile edit as well.

thanks for your fast answer. We tested with "&tab=TAB_NAME", but if a public user wants to open the url, then he gets error message, that he has to login to edit the profile? And if a logged in user wants to open the tab of his own profile he just gets the first tab?
You need to use & or ? depending on what's already in the URL. If there's no other parameters in the URL use ?tab=TAB_NAME.
