CBsubs - Reminder mailing to users in grace period was created by pastoweb
I'd like to send a reminder email to all the subscribers whose plan has expired, but are still in the renewal grace period... any advice?

You should be able to do that using CBSubs Mailer as it's intended to be used for sending reminders. You'd configure it to check against their expiration date.
