3 years 10 months ago #318393 by krileon

Is is this file right: pkg_communitybuilder_2.4.5+build.2020.05.07.21.35.06.e8f8a6125.zip

Yes.

Does the other plugins require updates as well?

Nope, issue with that query was entirely in core CB.

if ( $_CB_database->isDbCollationCaseInsensitive() ) {
			$query	.=	"\n WHERE ( u." . $_CB_database->NameQuote( 'username' ) . " = " . $_CB_database->Quote( trim( $username ) )
					.	' OR c.' . $_CB_database->NameQuote( 'alias' ) . ' = ' . $_CB_database->Quote( trim( $username ) ) . ' )';

Just checked comprofiler.php, it seems that this look like the original. This one doesn't require to be changed? Near line 1126..

The check in performCheckUsername within comprofiler.php was changed. Are you sure your install has the latest build installed? I've manually downloaded it and reviewed its files and appears fine.

I have checked the mysql process list and the following code is still stacking up in the queue.
SELECT u.`id` FROM `#_comprofiler` AS c INNER JOIN `#_users` AS u ON u.`id` = c.`id` WHERE ( u.`username` = 'xxxxx' OR c.`alias` = 'xxxxx' ) LIMIT 0, 1

My CB is 2.4.5+build.2020.05.07.21.35.06.e8f8a6125

Below is the where statement from comprofiler.php at performCheckUsername
if ( $function == 'testexists' ) {
		if ( $_CB_database->isDbCollationCaseInsensitive() ) {
			$query	.=	"\n WHERE u." . $_CB_database->NameQuote( 'username' ) . " = " . $_CB_database->Quote( trim( $username ) );
		} else {
			$query	.=	"\n WHERE LOWER( u." . $_CB_database->NameQuote( 'username' ) . " ) = " . $_CB_database->Quote( strtolower( trim( $username ) ) );
		}
	} else {
		if ( $_CB_database->isDbCollationCaseInsensitive() ) {
			$query	.=	"\n WHERE ( u." . $_CB_database->NameQuote( 'username' ) . " = " . $_CB_database->Quote( trim( $username ) )
					.	' OR c.' . $_CB_database->NameQuote( 'alias' ) . ' = ' . $_CB_database->Quote( trim( $username ) ) . ' )';
		} else {
			$query	.=	"\n WHERE ( LOWER( u." . $_CB_database->NameQuote( 'username' ) . " ) = " . $_CB_database->Quote( strtolower( trim( $username ) ) )
					.	' OR LOWER( c.' . $_CB_database->NameQuote( 'alias' ) . ' ) = ' . $_CB_database->Quote( strtolower( trim( $username ) ) ) . ' )';
		}
	}
	$_CB_database->setQuery( $query, 0, 1 );

when you say manually download it, meaning you downloaded the pkg_communitybuilder_2.4.5+build.2020.05.07.21.35.06.e8f8a6125.zip?

There's no comprofiler.php in that zip file.

Just install the latest CB package and it will upgrade your CB including that file, which is in a folder inside a zip inside a folder of the zip (standard disclaimer: backup before as usual).
