CB > Configuration > Registration->Registration Email Address was empty. I set an email address and again didn;t work. Joomlas Global Configuration email address works fine. It is already set to PHP Mail. As said before, Joomla is sending emails with no problem.

Please enable debug mode and maximum error reporting then retry and provide any errors that output. I don't know what else to suggest. There's no reason PHP Mail usage shouldn't work if Joomlas is working.

In FF console I am getting:

    The mailer is acting as if no TO address was ever supplied. I don't know what to suggest. Something in your install is tampering with the mailer or something altering the forgot login process on one of its triggers. If CB Auto Actions is installed unpublish it as maybe one of your auto actions is breaking things.

    Please be sure your installation is synchronized as well. Run Synchronize Users within CB > Tools and be sure not to use Joomla user management or registration processes. Always use CB > User Management and CB registration.

    In FF console I am getting:

    Ensure the following is set within CB > Configuration > Integrations.

    jQuery: Yes
    jQuery Migrate: No

    Here is more info...

    I have installed the same template with only CB on the same server (another location) in order to test. The problem appeared again.
    Both installations are on a server that is shared. I will call the hosting company on Monday just to be 100% sure it is not related to them.
    I don't know what else to think either...
