Hi Krileon,
That was not installed, but even with install and implementing a new plan, the text is the same, and not on any of the language files, or any of the other files I've done on an extensive search on. Might it be in any of the gateway files since it is on the payment page? Changes to backend fields work great for the subscription description boxes, but never affect the credit card payment page buttons.

Sorry, the reason this is important is because we are applying for a merchant account (previously using Paypal Pro on our pre-redesign 1.5 Joomla+AEC site) but decided to upgrade to you guys and Authorize.net. They had some payment questions about our business, so I want the payments to be as clear as possible for our users, and recurring is an important option for our program.

This is a tough find it seems... looked for a while longer yesterday as well... that spot on the payment gateway for the button is the text that goes on the previous page before you enter your credit card.

The button you're referring to is changed via the language strings. The user is informed with which payment processor they're using (Authorize.net) on the invoice page (where they supply invoice address, see basket, and click a payment button). You can customize the gateway buttons further if they need to be clearer with the parameter Nick provided in his previous reply. The language strings are as follows.

IN: components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/cbpaidsubscriptions-en-gb/language.php
ON: Line 440 (may vary install to install)
"Pay %s" => "Pay %s",
ON: Line 223 (may vary install to install)
"%3\$s for each %4\$s" => "%3\$s for each %4\$s",
