CB Subs 1.2.2 new members not directed to payment page

In CB Subs 1.2.2 when a new member signs up they are not redirected to the payment processing page, instead they are taken to the registration complete page with the following error message:

Warning: Parameter 1 to getcbpaidsubscriptionsTab::onAfterUserRegistration() expected to be a reference, value given in
/home/[xxx]/public_html/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/plugin.class.php on line 1101

What would cause this error message and this behavior?

What version of Joomla/CB?

CBSubs 1.2.2 is old - you should really upgrade to CBSubs GPL 4.0.2 (CB 2.0.14 needed).

Yes, this was working up until we had to do a scan of the code base.

Joomla version is 1.5.15 and CB version is 1.2.2, so the CB_Subs version might be even earlier than 1.2.2.

We are working on phasing out this legacy system, but in the immediate term we need to be able to restore the version we have. (we have a lot of custom code tied into joomla, virtuemart and CB that prevents us from doing a straight upgrade of this system)


I believe the error is caused either by one of the ionCube encrypted files in CB_Subs being corrupted or an error in login a newly created membership account into CB. (Payment processing works as normal if the user is logged in and renew their membership, it is only new registrations that are seeing this error)

Any direction on which CB file to investigate or what CB_Subs files to replace or restore from backup would be helpful.

Thanks for info.

Not much we can do in terms of support (paid or free).

Your versions are really old and no longer supported.
Also Hacking Joomla and CB does not help us.

Plus what you are seeing is a warning that could have been caused by a php upgrade.
