Editing the .css for colors (CB Profile Gallery)

17 years 10 months ago #13776 by dyjital
I installed the CB Profile Gallery and am trying to fit the colors of the tabs into the color scheme of my site. (www.southsidecorvallis.org) and have so far been soooo very unlucky to find the location of the .css file that contains the relative background: #FFFFFF spot so I can put in my color.

I currently am using a background color of 121a1d, but I can't find the appropriate FFFFFF to replace so I can get the color on all backgrounds, not just the CB Profile Gallery.

Am I off in left field or is there hope?

Just incase i'm smoking crack,

css for your tabs are found in your cb plugin folder, under your template chosen.

look for "dynamic-" in the css

another way to find css stuff you want to change is to view source of your page. Search for text thats in the area of the item you want to change, for instance i search for "forum" to locate the forum tab in your source. Then i looked at the classes in that area.

I always use that to get a quick reference :)
Sometime you wont find what your looking for, but it will give you a place to look aroung...

I searched over what appeared to be hundreds of pages of code.

Finally found it:

[code:1]
.dynamic-tab-pane-control .tab-page {
clear: both;
border: 1px solid rgb( 145, 155, 156 );
background: rgb( 252, 252, 254 );
z-index: 2;
position: relative;
top: -2px;
width: 100%;

[/code:1]

Seems as though the designers didn't want anyone to simply find the color schemes. Wasn't in color codes but in the actual number values. What a gas!

Good to see you found it. Though not compltely laid out for enoobies, i thought it was easy to do with a little trial and error. :)

Yup, I guess some background in photoshop allowed me see the colors laid out that way instead of the #FFFFF(F) format.

Thanks again.
