I have a website www.folksin.com it is a large collection of page/sites 19,000 of them.

I have a page for every village in England which actually exists with its own html.

The problem I have is when someone registers I can give them a list of counties in a drop down list but I can not put 19,000 villages in a drop down list.

So what I’m hoping to do us utilise ajax to do an auto complete on the village within registration.

It is important that a members village is spelt correctly in order for other villagers to find them.

I wonder if someone could give me some pointers.
