[SOLVED] HTTPS: error was created by wjgadmin
i have installed an SSL certificate & when i attempt to use it on my entire site CB does not function properly. it will not allow me to log in to the site at all & gives the following error:
You are not authorized to view this page!

it will also not allow registrations etc...

i have removed the url from the public $live_site = ''; as i saw in another forum post
from you guys. i have also set the https from within the cb login module to use for all, but get the error above when trying to log in. any idea how i can use my SSL with CB?
thanks

You need to have a public and published Joomla menu link to CBs profile. My guess is you set it to Registered or hire so when the module posts to the login page with that Itemid Joomla blocks it due to menu access.

would you be able to tell me how to create the menu link? for example where might this be in the joomla backend? or where the public setting may be?
i will make the alteration.
thank you!

You need to just create a Joomla menu link to CBs profile page (says mandatory next to it) and ensure it's public and published. The menu module that displays it though does not have to be enabled though so you can have it on a hidden menu just for its Itemid. Exact steps as follows

Menus > Menu Manager > Add New Menu
Title: Hidden
Menu type: hidden

Menus > Hidden > Add New Menu Item
Menu Item Type: User Profile (mandatory!)
Menu Title: Profile
Status: Published
Access: Public

oh yes, my appologies. i already have this & it is actually not hidden. i have it accessible in our members area so members may edit their user profile at anytime. however it is set to public & already was.
any other reason?

It needs to be to profile view. Profile edit menu item won't work. It must be public and published.
