Setting up a Promo for Auto Renewal Payment Plans

Hi—One of our clients will implement a price increase on Jan 1 2018 but wants members to have the opportunity to prepay at the old (current) rate for next year only, provided they prepay by December 31, 2017.

Since the "renewable in advance" setting doesn't apply to auto-renewal members, can you please provide some guidance for a solution that doesn't require members to switch back to manual payment to take advantage of the discount?

Thanks.

Currently promotions do not apply to recurring payments. So only way to really do that is probably a separate promotion plan entirely. You'd then disable new registrations to that plan on December 31, 2017 and enable the normal full price plan. I don't see any other way to do it beyond only allowing manual renewals.
