This thread isn't about what bridge to use and bridge problems! It's about something different. It's about a CB plugin.

Brat, if you are reading this (and getting back to the question) any idea if my concern is true...that the plugin is now only for the joomlahacks and not Orstio's?

Phil

Hey there. Unfortunately, the new official JSMF plugins (as they have been rebranded) do not support Ortisio's bridge.

However, I do believe I still have the immediate previous versions that do indeed support it. In fact, I know I uploaded those versions to the Joomlahacks forum (I think under the main plugins thread).

PM me with your email address, and I'll try to shoot those to you as soon as I can.

Regards,
Brat.

Actually I've got a set that are working fine on the site thanks...it was more to try and confirm if Joomlahacks were going in a direction of making the plugins work for only one bridge in the future....that's really disappointing.

My bridge is very different in version 2.0 and unfortunately I don't have the time to determine how the plugin can work with Orstio's bridge as well as mine at Joomlahacks. Its just a matter of time really. Brat released the codebase as GNU/GPL and I took what was written and wrote it to work more effectively with my bridge. Anyone is free to make these CB plugins compatible with Orstio's bridge just as I did with JoomlaHacks. So short answer, no, the plugins available at Joomlahacks will no longer work with Orstio's bridge.

Here's another thought...

The Joomlahacks Team adopted the plugins and further developed them along their own fork. Because they are indeed GNU/GPL, you can take the latest versions that worked with Ortisio's bridge and likewise submit them to that team. So, effectively, there will be two sets of plugins, each customized to meet the specific needs of each bridge.

Again, it's just a thought, and it could help out a lot of people.

Brat.

turn joomla error reporting to maxium and then see if hte index.php is actually an error. If so, post the error.
