This problem was traced down to the API framework and has been fixed in CB 1.0.2.
To take advantage of this fix, once you have CB 1.0.2 installed, you need to unistall and reinstall the CB Gallery plugin.
It should fix the problem.
Also please run the CB DB tool incorporated in the Tools backend of CB 1.0.2.

It is courious, 
I reinstalled and Installed again the Gallery on my Localhost and I have already CB 1.02 but gallery does still not saving,
But I see I have another similar Gallery Tab wich I can not deinstall from the old Gallery RC Update.
maybe this is the reason?
