Ok - downloaded the patches from the downloads section (phpbbconnector.php & LIMIT phpbbgui.php. However, i may be having a brain freeze here, but WHERE (i.e. what directory) do you upload the files to? The docs say to replace the existing files with the patch ones, but I can't seem to find an existing phpbbconnector.php & LIMIT phpbbgui.php file anywhere on my server. Any help is appreciated.

That LIMIT phpbbgui.php file should replace the phpbbgui.php and phpbbconnector.php should replace the files with the same name... they should be in your joomla directory then
/components/com_conprofiler/plugins/user/plug_phpbbconnector/

(barring any typos)
