When I try to save the CB profile, it says "First name and last name required". So i go to the first tab where the additional required CB fields are listed, and fill out the required fields. Then I hit save and i get a message like "This email address is already in use - if you have forgotten your password, click the 'lost password link..." or something similar.

As a result, no one can update their profile.

Any thoughts on why I'm getting this message?

2 separate issues here...

1) First name last name... I believe that is a CB settings something to the effect of "require fields for admin" (not exact name)... PROBABLY need to add something in the CB Connector to check that setting when importing users... I would add the feature request to the cbconnector.com mantis tracker... Do you want to add that request? or do you want me to add the request?

2) The duplicate email address is a Joomla setting under Site configuration... Keep in mind with this one that in Joomla 1.0.x you can allow duplicate email addresses but at last check (for me anyway) Joomla 1.5 did not allow duplicate email addresses and did not allow overriding that setting (on purpose)

im getting the same problem. Cant update any profiles unless i edit them from phpmyadmin or similar. Any solution to this problem would be fantastic. Im running joomla 1.5.9 and CB 1.2

I'm having same issue. I can update from back end but not the front end.

CB Connector does not currently support the J1.5.x series as with some of its dependencies it will have more trouble than that. Are you using CB Connector or was this intended for Community Builder itself?
