Check my forumpost on the official GroupJive website. In that post I supply some hacks in a txt-document which also supplies admins to be allmighty. I think that suits your needs....

In the latest revisions of GroupJive we have dealt with this issue, admins are almighty now. Please come test the latest version from groupjive.org (yep, shamelessly fishing for testers ).
