Hello, this is Dunndada and me and my associate are working with Joomla 1.5 Beta 1, and we are looking into GroupJive.

I have a few questions. Thanks in advance for any help or replies.

1. We have a joomla site and we would like to have Members and a Second Group Called Board Members. We basically want to have a section of our Joomla only accessible to Board Members.

Is GroupJive a good path for us to approach?

2. We intend on using Joomla 1.5 for now, and it's final release. Do you think this is a safe way to approach or she we step backwards to more stable versions?

READ!!! the 1.5 is a beta version - its in now way stable enough for a productive page - most components/modules are not written for 1.5...just use it for testing!

groupjive allows you to have groups, but only in the component not on the whole page - you should try JACL - that gives you more options for members in the public frontend
