Yes, I tried some simple component and they works!

Giampirm

P.s. when I wan to unistall the failed installation, I have to remove manually the component directory on the site and Drop the table "comprofiler_....".
I have tried to install the component in a local windows environment and it works......!!!!:S

perhaps a servertimeout?

try to upload the unzipped component to the installationdirectory an install.

Yes the table will be there when you uninstall the component. This is for an upgrade to a newer version. Remember its still a Release Candidat (RC2).

When an installation fails joomla never (i think) remove the folders. I had always to manualy remove the folders

sorry, I confirm that the automatic istallazione does not work to me. But in the manual installation I mistook to insert the correct link, I iserted :

{websitestructure}\administrator\components\com_installer\component\comprofiler\

instead of:

{websitestructure}\administrator\components\com_installer\component\comprofiler

Thanks every one
