Greetings.
I'm having login troubles with Internet Explorer users. I've gone through these forums and tried the following suggestions:
1. Check version.php (it matches);
2. Clear out sessions table (doesn't help);
3. Redirect users after login (doesn't help);
4. Switched from CB login module to Joomla login module (makes no difference).
5. Set redirect after login for the Joomla login module (also makes no difference).
The symptoms have been seen and reported in the forums before. If no redirect is set, the page refreshes when the login button is clicked, but no content is displayed. The user is, however, technically logged in (a session appears in the db). If a redirect is set up, IE users get a "You are not authorized to view this resource" message.
There are two aspects of my installation that differ from the norm. First, it's a closed site -- all menus and content (except the login modules) are restricted to registered users (login is set to public). Second, Joomla is running in a subdirectory of the domain (e.g.,
www.mysite.com/myjoomlasite).
I'm on Joomla 1.0.13 (fresh install, not an upgrade) and CB 1.1.
I'd appreciate any guidance or assistance you can provide. I have looked through the forums diligently to find a solution, to no avail. I even bought the documentation, hoping it might address this subject (it doesn't, but no worries, I'm happy to support your work!).
Thanks in advance.
Lou
