public x private lists was created by samp
I have 2 lists, one public and an other private to registered users.

In the configuration, list option, I can choose to allow or not the link to profile.

Is it possible to have link to profile allowed to private and not allowed to public?

It is actually a general setting, not a list-specific one.

Most times, it's very useful to have this error "you need to register to view" so that people register to your site...

it's a useful feature-request. Moving the thread into feature-requests forum and will try to make this automatic in next release.

You would have to change a little bit the code in usersList in comprofiler.php to change this ueConfig setting depending on listid chosen.

Also, would it be possible for some fields to
be only viewable by a certain group level (ex. publisher) and the other fields to all registered users?
