For some reason, the only thing all these fixes do, is remove the error, im still not able to actual update the profile (front-end) as a regular user, it just tries to fetch some article which doesnt exist, tho it equal the user id i try to update.

Joomla 1.5.7 - CB 1.1

I recently had the same problem with 1.5RC4. I followed the instructions on this site and the joomla site and they fixed the error message.

You need to find lines 528 and 529 in the file components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbcore/cb.core.php.

Change line 528 to this:

$params =& $juser->getParameters(true);

And delete line 529 (remove the following code):

$params->loadSetupFile(JApplicationHelper::getPath( 'com_xml', 'com_users' ));

I saved the file and refreshed my user admin screen. It worked like a champ.

As far as the save/cancel images, mine are where they should be so I'm not sure what to tell you.
