Where? I still don´t understand it. There must be an english source or default file... my cb profilebook 1.2RC does not have any language file in its folder?!?
I guess, i would need a variable-name reference...

All language strings associated with CB Team released add-ons are part of the CB language plugin.
Specifically the cbteamplugins_language.php file of the plugin handles these strings.

Aah! Finally found the right file. My previous install put a language file in the actual plugin subfolder! That one was not recognized at all.
So, every official plugin has its strings/variables in this file:
cbteamplugins_language.php
I found the same file in my german folder. The translations for ProfileBook are in that file already. BUT i still have ENGLISH in profile edit -> guestbook tab
The three preference checkboxes and help tooltips are still in ENGLISH?!

The actual fields themselves need to be changed within CB Field Management. From there you can edit their titles and of course descriptions (tooltips). Have added a bug ticket to address the missing language strings.
