Just did a clean install of CB1.2 RC2 for a brand new website. Right now I am testing things before I open shop and am getting error messages once someone completes the signup process.

The messages are:
* JFTP::login: Unable to login
* JClientHelper::setCredentialsFromRequest failed

I don't know for sure that these are CB related issues, but since they started happening after installing CB and coming as they do after the signup process, I thought this would be a good place to start.

Help, please?

I have exactly the same issue! Everything seems to work - just get the error after the registration form is filled out!

Not sure if this is any helpfull, but i'm getting the same error here. Just signed up yesterday and installed CB 1.2 RC2 freshly on a Joomla 1.5 testsite.

I have FTP disabled in Joomla config.....

Interesting, if I enable the ftp layer I get:

...otherwise just the second line.

To the best of my knowledge the ftp layer is working correctly - global configuration isn't throwing any errors.

I'm running Joomla 1.5.3 and CB 1.2 RC 2 on a linux based box with PHP5 if it helps.
