Allowing Public View of Profiles

Allowing Public View of Profiles was created by rowby
Is there a global setting(s) to allow public (non-registered members) to view Community Builder Profiles?

I know there is a plug-in available that will do this, but it requires IonCube loader to be installed, and I may not be able to have IonCube loader installed in this particular server.

Thanks

I need this answer as well.

We want public to view profiles and would love to be able to set a static url.

SEF is required on the 3rd party version and we're having major issues with it.

Just log in to the admin backend and go to Components - Community Builder - Configuration - User Profiles and set the security level to Everybody .. This will allow all user profiles to be viewed by well Everybody.. :) Then be sure to set your User Lists accordingly.

Thank you!

Ok, so is there a way to direct people to a specific URL for a specific user?

I've found for certain menu items you MUST temporarily turn off SEF and SEO friendly URLS in Joomla configuration.

Once you set those links, then turn SEF and SEO back on and joomla will remember the original links, even though they are showing to the pubic the user friendly urls.

Thanks. I missed that "Everybody" setting.

Works great now.
