Having been a moderator myself for many years, I know how hard it is to guage someone's tone when they speak in print. But you should know, and I am letting you know now, that it has the quite the opposite effect when keep telling someone to stay cool, who is perfectly cool already. You should not do it. It is counter productive. And I mean that in a nice way, and yes, I am perfectly cool.

That said, thank you very much for letting me know about that. It was a concern. I shall get on quietly with building my website now.

Many thanks,

RTB.

I have just installed 1.2 RC2 and see that mod_cblogin is legacy mode only. I cannot run legacy mode as it screws up other mods.

Where does that leave me?

Uninstalling and starting again?

Known issue #5 -
www.joomlapolis.com/component/option,com...w/id,69318/catid,59/

I would really like to know which other mods are screwed up by enabling legacy plugin ...

The primary one is sh404SEF plus another mod which I cannot remember at the moment but as soon as I remember or find the warning text again, I will let you know.

Yes, I remember now, it was JoomSEF. [added later]

You can set sh404SEF to skip community builder if the friendly URLs are causing problems. I use the caching feature with sh404SEF and decided it wasn't worth the memory requirements to have all of the CB URLs cached. If you want to turn the clean URLs on later, sh404SEF will 301 redirect all the native Joomla URLs that were previously in use.

October will come... and nothing happen.

Please, release something for the community. This is ridiculous !

I now paid (as the team almost forces any interested person to pay to get CB) and I can tell that CB is ready !

It just confirmed my opinion that claiming that it is a RC release is just a way to force people to pay and postpone the free release.

Such a shame !

So now guies, here is the thing: competitor projects are starting and will be out soon and I am sure that many disappointed "waiter" for CB will move to a real community. So to all of you, take a minute to discover idoblog community edition, jomunities, or Joomsocial. And do not say you may have to pay for them... You also HAVE to pay for CB.

To be perfectly honest, I am moving on myself...lesson learned.

I won't be rude about, but will just say that their are alternatives and one shipping very soon that adds some functionaly that everyone has wanted, but never made it to stable...

Have fun, CB'ers...sure it'll release soon (reads next month), so the wait for you guys is almost over; it's over for me.

Good luck to all of you.
