Hi Nick,
congratulations for your successfully and hard work!
I am newbye of joomla and CB, and I am building, in this days, my site for my university students . It is important for me that the site will be ready within the next week, so I can't wait for the stable release.
I have a question: if I upgrade my subscription to doc-subscriber can I download the CB 1.2 immediately after the payment?
Thank in advance
Sincerely
Angelo

Cool, thanks.

Yes, if you pay for the documentation subscription with a credit-card or a paypal available balance, the payment completes instantly and you get instant access to the documentations-subscribers area, with the CB 1.1 and CB 1.2 RC documentation and CB 1.2 RC downloads (and captcha 2.0).

Payments by E-checks or bank-account transfers take several days to clear and complete, but credit-card and paypal-balance payments are instantly completing.

Thanks for your support to the project

Thanks Beat for your prompt answer!
I have a more question (sorry!): CB 1.2 permits to organize the user in groups (i.e. I have two degree courses, and different years of course frequency) or for this I need a plugin?
I am afraid that question is off-topic but I hope in an answer.
Thanks again anf Good Luck

Angelo

CB 1.2 RC works with NO issues with Rokbridge RC5b1.
Logon and logoff work seamlessly with phpbb3.

The "wrapped" mode which uses a custom Joomla 1.5 application, is still is a work in progress but is very functional.

The "sync" mode works great and allows you to enter the forums and login from either Joomla or phpbb3.

See www.rocketwerx.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=22 for more details. I am Joseph Halleck on the forums there.

Is there a time table on the commercial plugin?

Hi all!

I posted before that I cannot install CB 1.2 RC.

I changed Joomla database mysqli to mysql, and all worked.

Installation is using CB core classes at some point.

This means - be VERY careful if you are using on production site CB with mysqli. It sometimes goes into endless loop.

It needs to be tested and stabilized from CB team side.

Funny - I paid EUR to become alpha (drop11 ?) tester

However - public availability of software will help to stabilize it to beta and RC states a little bit faster!

I believe, that there still are organizational / financial ways for CB team to cash in on CB while not keeping it closed like Microsoft Windows, because code base is just growing bigger, and takes exponential resources to stabilize. What will happen with CB 1.3 with current project management methods?
