CB 1.2 RC1 rocks;)

at the beginnigs i had a problem (very big!). On my Joomla 1.0.15 were already CBE and than CBE 1.1 -> now CB 1.2 RC1.

After the Upgrade to CB 1.2...there were are Warning/Error on my site: No Language-File found...this Warning with only white site was everywhere on the page...nothing goes.

But than...i found the solution in another forum:
I must delete/rename the file: "/mambots/system/cb_invite.bot.php"

and now it works perfect:whistle:

Are you really using CB 1.2 RC?

sandijs,

First of all, I need to correct a misunderstanding: you paid to support CB team and for the documentation subscription, not for CB 1.2 RC itself. Thank you for your support .

I am really sorry that you have run into the single and only confirmed bug found in CB 1.2 RC so far, over 30 hours after its release.

I am amazed myself about this 1-bug-only-so-far result with our "poor microsoft-like management methods" that you are refering to. Hope you run into less bugs after 30 hours of purchasing a stable Microsoft product.

CB 1.3 and 2.0 development have already started, and we will be improving our project-management and testing taking in account good and bad experience from CB 1.2 and below (and our other professional projects that we have managed so far, some quite bigger than CB ).

Thanks for sharing the warning and solution to this single problem

I am incredibly impressed by the ease with which my upgrades went. I wish the Joomla crowd would come up with something that makes migrating from 1.0.15 to 1.5.3 as easy as this Community Builder upgrade went.

That said, I have run in to a rather odd problem on 1.5.3 and not 1.0.15. When I go to look at the list of all registered users, it comes up with the correct number of users but no details. I went to look at the list configuration and basic fields like name, email, etc do not show up in the list of fields that I can choose for my list. All of my custom fields show up, but none of the core fields. This only happens on my 1.5.3 instance. The 1.0.15 instance is fine. They both run on the same version of PHP (5.2.4), MySQL (5.0.45), and Apache (2.2.8 on Fedora).

Thanks

Just do following:
- CB tools / check CB database and Fix if fixes are required
- open CB config and save it
- check settings of the core fields in CB Fields manager

That should help fixing the issue. If that's not enough, please open a new thread in CB 1.2 general discussion.

We are working hard to get it to same quality level as CB 1.2 RC, and we still have some work to do to reach that goal. Beta 8 of the plugin has hit the paid subscriptions test-team and has after initial testing been installed on live sites for live tests.

As I'm very bad at forecasting the minute where the last bug will be solved and a software released, and got cought several times at adding a feature to make life of users a little easier, so I don't want to give a forecast on that. It will be asap, but not before at least 2-3 weeks.

We have a few paid subscription testteam testers-seats open as a few testers didn't have the required time to do the expected testings, so experienced joomlapolitans who have time to test and feedback and already have a live site which could need it, please feel free to read this post about latest info and PM Nick (nant) if you have the required time to join that testteam.
