    Community builder database check during expert mode installation times out (even when I increase php.ini exec time).

    I got to step 'e'

    -------
    e) go to Components -> Community Builder -> Tools and click "Click here to Check Community Builder Database"
    you should see some output in red, like:

    ------

    When I click 'Check Community Builder Database' it chugs away for a good 5 minutes then prompts me to open the .php file locally (timing out).

    PHP.INI -
    mysql.connect_timeout = 9999999999
    max_execution_time = 99999999999
    max_input_time = 9999999999999
    memory_limit = 128M

    Setup: CentOS Linux Apache/1.3.41 (Unix) PHP/4.4.7
    Joomla: 1.0.15
    CB 25k Members: 1.1 -> 1.2 upgrade

    Did expert install.

    Any ideas on what I can do here... I no longer see on my signup page now Full Name, Username, Email, Password?

    *EDITED* I guess its a mysql / mysqli issues. This is the first time I've ever heard the term 'mysqli'. As far as I am concerned I have a basic setup (cpanel machine running centos).

    Is there a solid fix here for this? I am not clear on whats what with turning switching to mysql/mysqli it seems to me, after reading some benchmarks mysqli is better... But regardless I don't even know how to switch it (even after reading 3 posts here about it).

    Change joomla to use mysql instead of mysqli in the Joomla config.

    Issue with DB lib at the moment - mysqli causes this.
    Support the devs!

    How exactly do you switch from mysqli -> mysql. Please don't paste me the 2 threads here. I just finished reading them both and they do not explain in detail how this is done. Not to mention why, work arounds, pros - cons.

    Yes, if you use paypal with a realtime clearing method ie: bank, cc, or cash already in paypal etc... it will allow for instant download.
