I already have CB 1.2 RC1 installed.

What is the best way to upgrade to RC2?

Thanks

If you have no extra CB Plugins installed, then I would just unistall component and modules and reinstall. You would need to redo your configuration setiings (component and module parameters) this way but any CB fields will be preserved.

You can also use the expert mode (see readme).

Either way, you should run the CB Tools db check and save the configuration settings once.

Edit #1: i'am under Firefox 3.0 Mac
Thank you again for RC2.

The only small imperfection i had the time to notice is in users list: while the loading of the page, the search fields and buttons (they maybe a lot of them following the type of fields) appear quickly before going hidden (as they are supposed to be hidden when the page is complete). It was already the case under rc1.

Edit #2: and still this error message when saving the configuration : "Failed to change the permissions of the config file /home/httpd/vhosts/MySite.com/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/ue_config.php" even if i set it myself in 644 or 755 or 777

I just upgraded from 1.2 RC to 1.2 RC2 using the expert only upgrade files. This was actually very easy.

First I took the site offline and backed up my database and all files in:

/administrator/components/com_comprofiler/
/components/com_comprofiler/
/modules/

Then I unpacked cb_expert_files_only_m_4_j_1.0.tar.gz (cb_expert_files_only_j_1.5.tar.gz if using Joomla 1.5). You can see that the files match the directory structure in your Joomla root directory.

Next, uploaded the files to the server from the unpacked directory, checked in the admin configuration to make sure the new version was listed, ran the cb database check tool and fixed any errors, took the site back online and done.

I'll report any issues I find. Thanks again

Thanks! I will review it. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Will probably do the upgrade this weekend.
