I wonder why the 1st facebook connect thread has been locked, but I think this is a key feature for a modern community solution.

It's been integrated just fine on joomunity which is still has too many bugs to use. But the facebook feature connect works just fine. if someone wants to have a look...

and This is a plugin that works for wordpress:

but the joomunity way looks simpler

you need a facebook account , add the developper application, then start a new application....

have you looked at joomlafacebook?

It doesnt work with cb, but maybe a developer may be able to help you out

and for joomla not working yet? o not development?

I think the issue is having a unified login. Especially for people still getting used to online communities - it's hard to convince them to keep all these separate accounts.

I have yet to understand the point of the "joomlafacebook" component - it seems not to work well and doesn't do much other than create a Facebook Application that basically advertises your site. Facebook already has this in Fan Pages.

No joomlafacebook doesn't work with facebook connect.

My first post has all the required informations added to make it work but I'm not to much into the the CB API code...

I could set up a facebook connect test working on my site... but it's not working with cb...

This is really required for the CB comunity!

This is great news for folks looking to connect social network systems. I'm sure someone is now working on connecting J! and FB using this technology.

I may even give it a shot myself! I'm working on an J!/OpenID link to other applications and hopefully will have a CB plugin soon!
