Using html code for special characters dosen't work in alert windows (and CB use some of them), enconding files language in UTF-8 is a must for spanish language and you'll be sure that always works without need of html code.
I asked for the problem of alert windows, finally I get this solved encoding to UTF-8 and using normal words(no html code).

Where is the translation file??? I didn't found anything for CB1.2 in the directory.

thank you cossimo it worked fine to me.
I used to had the ploblem of words in spanish with extrange characters instead of the accents, and I just replaced the /components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/spanish/spanish.php with the one you said and I solved the problem. solucioné el problema de las tildes men gracias
