Thanks for your purchase and support to the project B)

This is detailed in the 25-pages PDF documentation which is in the package, pages 9 and 12-13 of the Joomla 1.5 doc, or for joomla 1.0 on pages 7-8 and 11-12.

Please take 5 minutes to go through the enclosed PDF documentation, lots of useful info in it :)

Hope that helps ;)

In case it helps anyone...

I found the method included in the template docs to be poor. However if you open the params.ini in the template folder and replace the textlogo bit with html this works great (ie textlogo=<img src="http://SITENAME/images/stories/logo.png">)

This worked great for me and I have a transparent png there so I can change colours behind at will

Sorry, not meaning to rubbish the method used, but it took a while plaing and in the end I wasn't happy with the result as I wanted my image to fill the area.

You may want to remove some border area in the main template css as well (look for logo you should be fine).

Best to all

Thanks for sharing :)

We will improve the doc and template happily, if needed.

However, not sure to understand though: joomla 1.5's param.ini is editable in the joomla 1.5's backend as documented, you could add same in textlogo by using the joomla 1.5 backend template params ?

J1.0 Page 8 and J1.5 Page 9 properly explain usage of params.

The reason yours is not appearing properly is because code is in place to behave differently if a text logo is in place versus an image logo. You need only specify the location of the image logo within the proper param and it'll insert the image for you. You can then change the CSS for the logo found on pages J1.0 11 and J1.5 12.

@krileon

errr, yeah I know (i can read fine), but like i said, wasn't happy with placement etc which required editing css files etc.

In such an event, it is just as easy to skip the params altogether and just insert the code myself (easier in fact if you are used to using html rather than fiddling with someone elses setup). Thought the same might be the case for others out there (even if not, no harm in sharing, and it is appearing fine too btw).

Thanks anyway

@beat

I dont think the docs really need changing, just that to have to go through them and work out what you are supposed to be doing with a simple image placement took me longer than just dumping the code myself is all. I am sure others out there will also have come to joomla from actually building websites the traditional way too ;). Wasn't really meant as criticism, more as, err, alternative :).

Best,

NuMoon
