MS SQL compatibility vs MySQL was created by stefano.casarin
TIA for any replies

I'm currently evaluating the usage of Joomla 3.5.1 plus Community Builder 2.0.14.

Joomla is installed and working fine on the following environment

Server : WIndows Server 2012 R2
Web Server : IIS 8.5 (the one with Win Server 2012 R2)
SQL : Microsoft SQL Server 2012
PHP : v5.6

The login user, that joomla use to connect to MSSQL database, is a sysadmin, so no problems on rights.

The problem happen when I try to install Community Builder (2.0.14).
It looks like if CB cannot accept that Joomla use MSSQL but only MySQL, indeed I receive the message

======================================================================
Notice
Database driver 'sqlsrv' is not supported. Please use MySQL instead.
======================================================================

Obviously I do not want to use MySQL for company policy, because we already have all setup (backup, security, redundant servers and so on).

I tried already to get the PDF manual to check the prerequisite checklist, but despite what is wrote in the CB website (www.joomlapolis.com/support/tutorials/95-installation/18199-cb-quick-installation-check-list), the pdf that should has at section 1.4 the prerequisites, is not included at all in the package, so no way for me to read it.

Any sugestion or possible turnaround?

Maybe the PRO version of CB support MSSQL?

Thankyou
Stefano
