Block registration based on date field?

I'm looking at CB for a new project.
We need to completely block/stop the registration process based on a data field during registration.
The field is the 'birthdate' field.
If the user enters a date that is less than 16 years ago, we need to completely block the registration from proceeding (with an on-screen notice). We can not save any data for the user (for legal purposes).
Is there any way to do that within CB (native or with add-ons)?

No, you'd just set the date field to not even allow selecting less than 16 years. This is a part of core CB. If you want to allow selecting less than 16, but error if they do so you'll need some sort of custom PHP side validation which you maybe able to do using CB Auto Actions.
