Our site has a number of custom built components. Previously we were using AEC and JACL+ to manage access, but we are migrating to CBSubs and would like to drop both. Our components need to have access control at the item level (record level). The current solution checks the groups a user is in and displays only the items that should be visible to those subgroups.

Looking through the CBSubs documentation, its not clear to me how to replicate this sort of functionality with CBSubs. I can easily protect the component, but I can't quite figure out how to go deeper...

Any thoughts?
